Evelyn Thorpe Bio
Evelyn Thorpe is not just a breast cancer survivor, she’s an inspiration. Ever since learning about her disease in October of 1995, she has viewed her diagnosis as a positive life-changing experience. She faced cancer with her signature grace, strength and style and 12 years later, she is cancer-free! After she beat the disease, she decided to share her heart and strength with other women diagnosed with the disease. With her bright smile and caring attitude, she continues to be an inspiration to women everywhere.
Ever since learning about her disease at the doctor’s office, Evelyn has valued each day of her life. Evelyn is thankful everyday for the love and support of her family. In addition, Evelyn relied on her faith and the power of prayer from her family and friends to keep her positive attitude throughout the entire ordeal. She now works with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and believes that being a survivor has inspired a passion and sensitivity for others who are going through this experience. This life-changing experience has given Evelyn’s life a new meaning and purpose.”
